Welcome to The Savvy Crafter Workshop!
The Savvy Crafter Workshop is a home-based craft studio dedicated to inspiring and teaching kids the art of sewing and DIY crafting. Located in a cozy, safe space, our workshops provide children with hands-on experience creating their own projects, from fun accessories to small home decor items. We focus on developing creativity, patience, and fine motor skills through child-friendly sewing activities, with each project tailored to be engaging and suitable for young hands.
Hi, I'm Patricia Gambis, owner of the Savvy Crafter Workshop! My sewing journey began when I was just 9 years old back in 1979. In 2006, while living in New York City, I turned my passion into a business. I designed and sewed children's clothing, which I sold at street fairs and craft fairs in the City. Since moving to Tallahassee, Florida, I’ve been thrilled to share my skills with the next generation, running workshops not only in sewing but also in knitting and cookie decorating.
At The Savvy Crafter Workshop, I keep class sizes small so each child receives personalized guidance and encouragement, using easy-to-handle tools and materials in a friendly, supportive environment. My goal is to make sewing accessible and enjoyable, inspiring young makers to explore their imaginations, build confidence, and discover a lifelong love for crafting.
